Reviews
Love this restaurant. I found it during the pandemic and needing to get out. They had a lovely outdoor seating area and it was a great place to eat and read my book. This is my third trip and it is just as delightful. The food is amazing. I loved the Sheppard's Pie, the Jambalaya and now this Reuben sandwich. Also their cookies are delightful.
We have ordered take out several times and had a party of 9 dine in for an early Father's Day Supper. The food has always been really flavorful with generous portions. They missed a couple of things when we dined in, and I realize our large party may have been a challenge for the kitchen. The Reuben was missing its 1000 Island. All was well when we requested the sauce on the side. My mother was too accommodating to mention that the dried cranberry and pear salad was missing its pears until it was too late. All in all we have really loved the food here, service has been great, and the neighborhood ambience is great, too!
“Just down the street and around the corner”. That’s the feeling we got as we walked in. The staff greets you and waves you in to find a table. Busy but nobody was frantic. The Mediterranean bruschetta was so tasty, feta cheese is always a go for me. Black sesame chicken salad-the dressing was an explosion of flavor! Just great. Give them a try and you’ll be welcomed right in
Absolutely delicious food and a variety of options all sealed with a quaint and friendly atmosphere in a scenic part of northern Tacoma. A divine diner to die for!
The outdoor seating puts you right in view of the scenic neighborhood, and it's heavenly in the warm months with the ac!
First time here, will not be the last. I had the lasagna. It was prepared exactly how I like lasagna, slightly burnt! It was YUM-MY. It came with a generous sized salad, and great garlic bread. A little pricey, but worth it. The service was also good. Parking can be a bit of a hassle, but that would be my only issue with this place.
I really really want to like this place. The vibe in the warm months is fantastic, the food is unique, and the staff is inviting, but it's never great. I don't ever feel poorly about going here, but I also don't feel like it's worth going out of the way for. All of the sandwiches are unique and most of them are enjoyable, but there's always something missing to make them really good. Also they're expensive. Maybe they just don't feel like they quite live up to the price tag. For a $17 sandwich you feel like it should be fuller, bigger, crisper, greener... Something. If I knew what it was I would ask for it, but until I figure it out I'll keep exploring Tacoma.
Was a very quaint, decorative little Cafe. Went there with my Mother. The wait staff was very friendly and would come to check on us. I ordered an appetizer of Spinach artichoke dip which came put hot! Was small but fresh. Then I ordered a garden salad and my mother got one of the entree salads with bacon. They were generous portions. For my entree I got a chicken pot pie which came out hot and fresh! It was good size and crisp out of the oven. The wait was a little long but if you are ordering from a smaller Cafe where they cook instead of just microwaving it is going to take longer. It was worth the wait! The only reason I am giving 4 not five is because there was a mixup with the order but they were able to quickly resolve it and get the correct food out. There were multiple staff helping out to check on you and make sure things were right! Highly recommend!
Literally so good and so fresh. You can tell this isn’t food that was just reheated, but rather made to order with love. I literally have been thinking about it since we ate there! Great atmosphere and delicious vittles. I’m giving birth at St Joseph’s literally any day here and this is where I’m sending my husband after I give birth for a delicious sandwich. It’s hard to imagine you could go wrong with anything on the menu!
